In response to feedback on Wednesday Folders, the PTA Board has
decided on the following new procedures, utilizing the schedule
system on the PTA web site...
Wednesday FLYERS:
There is a weekly sign-up online for
flyer counters to put papers in new Teacher Flyer Cubbies
from 10:30-12:00. Note, this is not stuffing Wednesday
Folders (We can't stuff until 12:30.)

Volunteer in the Library!

Our library is now considered a teaching
library, as Ms. Trudeau is actually teaching students about finding
and using information. This promotes literacy as well as the
skills needed for using library resources and research strategies.
There many needs and opportunities to volunteer in the library!

Help Needed with Library Inventory

It's THAT time of the year!
It seems impossible that the end of this year is almost here.
And with it another "first" for me. It is time to begin
inventory.
I need volunteers on the dates listed below to help complete our
inventory at the end of the year. I only have one scanner, so I
only need one person at a time.

Once again, I want to say Thank you to all who have diligently stuck
with me this year. Your help has been a tremendous asset to the
daily workings of the library. We have had some great times and I so

Volunteer for Field Day, Friday May 23

Dear Rutledge Parents,
We are excited about Field Day, which is May 23. We have 3
different areas that the kids will be going to this year, which
includes one that is all water (area "1"). If you look at the
schedule, you will see a number ahead of the game (1, 2, or 3),
which corresponds to area 1, area 2, or area 3.

We will need at least 2 people at each game at the three
stations. Simply look for your child's teacher and the time you will
be available to work in the schedule. Note that you will be
able to rotate to the next area with your child. Just sign
up for your child's class in the next time slot.
We are also in need of a few items, which will be returned to you
after Field Day. Thanks so much for volunteering your time and we
look forward to a fun filled Field Day this year.

PTA fundraiser for this school year will be the
Parents vs. Teachers Softball Game
to be held on Sunday, May 18th, from 2pm to 4pm at Vista Ridge High
School.

Box Top and Label Counters, Friday May 16!

I really need 5 volunteers this Friday May 16th from 1:15-2:45 in
the Rutledge library. We will be counting the final
Box Top and
labels submission, and announcing this year's winning classrooms!
I will also need them to help with clipping and sorting.

Parent vs. Teacher Softball Game, May 18!
The final PTA fundraiser for this school year
will be the "Parents vs. Teachers Softball Game" to be held on
Sunday, May 18th, from 2pm to 4pm at Vista Ridge High School.
The gates will open at 1:45pm.
We need volunteers to
sell tickets and check will-call tickets at the gate, sell
concessions during the game, and help clean-up afterward
(there shouldn’t be much to do, but VRHS has been kind enough to
allow us to play there, so it is important that we make sure the
field and seating area is picked up.)
