We are so glad you can
contribute your photos to the yearbook! This page describes the
steps you need to use to upload your photos to a special site so we can
collect them and publish the yearbook. We appreciate your help
very much!
First,
you need to gain access to the website. For security reasons, we
are not publishing the password. But it's easy to get. Just
email the administrator
admin@rutledgepta.org and I will send you the information.
Once you
have the site password, go to:
http://www.photobucket.com.
You will see something like this:
In the
upper right corner, enter username
rutledgepta and the password
you received. Please log-in. The upload process is
very easy.
VERY IMPORTANT:
Please do not upload your photos to the home page!
We need them categorized by
teacher and grade, so we need you to create an Album and upload into it.
Step 4 explains how...
On the
left side at the bottom (below all the other albums), you will see a square box with the words "add a new album". Enter the
grade <space> teacher, and event you are uploading photos,

save.
I typed in Demo for the purpose of these instructions, in which
case I see the following:
Once you have created an album, you can upload INDIVIDUAL photos by clicking one of the three
Browse buttons. Find the photos on your computer and click
Open. After you have
selected 1-3 images, click
Upload
on this page
and they will be uploaded. You will then seem them in your album (click
back to rutledgepta on
the left, then click your album name.)
ALSO
IMPORTANT: If you are uploading MORE THAN ONE
Album, please make sure you go back to the root
rutledgepta album
before you add a second album (click Back to Rutledgepta
in the Album
list). Otherwise, your additional album(s) will be "hidden" inside
an album.
Want to upload a TON of images at the same
time? It's easy!
Just
click the
Bulk Uploader =>
button. Be sure to follow the instructions
on the screen to install the Active-X control, which your browser needs
to perform this function. Typically, this appears as a little
yellow strip at the top of the screen that says "Install Active-X
Control?" Install it. Then, you will see the upload screen:
Locate your directory on the left, and your images will appear on the
right. Select the ones you want ot upload by clicking the
(+)
buttons and then press
UPLOAD
. That's it! You should see the
images you selected appear in your album.
Finally,
please keep in mind that you are uploading photos to a
shared web site. If you delete anything, please be VERY careful
so you don't accidentally delete someone else's photos. Also,
please do not add "tags" to the images. We have to
remove the Tags or they will print in front of the photos.
